Plasticine roses

Her life, by all accounts, is a mess. Court appearances, hospital appointments, supervised contact visits. All signifying broken relationships, broken promises, broken dreams.

She takes a piece of red homemade plasticine. She breaks it into smaller bits and fashions petals out of each one, lightly squeezing them together to make a rose. Others see what she is doing and soon she is leading an impromptu plasticine rose workshop, sharing her skills as she teaches and encourages those who have gathered around her.
